Brow lamination: The new beauty trick to give you a fuller, thicker brows
In search of thicker, fuller brows but not quite ready to commit to microblading?
Because everyone's heard of someone who's had them done just that little bit too dark, haven't they?
Enter eyebrow lamination, a brand new semi-permanent grooming trend hailing from Moscow, where, I'm told, some take their brow game very seriously.
Brow lamination works in a similar way to a lash lift and is designed to open up your eyes. The process essentially involves straightening eyebrow hairs using a chemical solution, so that they all stand in the desired direction.
The result is a bushier, more defined yet natural-looking, leaving you with an off-duty supermodel look, requiring barely any maintenance.
We are teaching the brow to go in another direction with the end result lasting up to about a month with regular treatments. Your first treatment should last between two and three weeks.
First, a lifting balm is applied to the hairs using a brush and creating the desired shape and look. After a few minutes, the excess product is removed and a second volumising solution is applied which will also hydrate the hairs, and covers them again with cling film, how long you leave each product on depends on your hair type.
Once the second product has been removed, brows can be tinted to make them darker and appear fuller. A nourishing serum is applied to finish up.
In all, the treatment lasts between 45 minutes and an hour, and eyebrows looked instantly much thicker and wider. This is a clever treatment, perfect for anyone who's too scared to try microblading, but wants something with a bigger impact than a simple shape and tint.
